(Maybe you saw us on FOX4 Morning Blend, heard about us on Lite 93.7, on Facebook, blogs or in the paper!) This is a scavenger hunt played entirely by your cell phone, taking you to 20+ check points all over Cape Coral, on an exciting adventure throughout the city! The Great Cape Crusade will begin at Starbucks on Pine Island Road at 9am on Saturday, March 26th, 2011. You can preregister but you still must check in between 8-9am. Preregistration can be done by emailing us. (greatcapecrusade@gmail.com) You do not have to preregister in order to play. Preregistering is just to give us a better head count. At check-in you will receive instructions about your trek through Cape Coral and the activities, pictures or codes you must enter in order to complete each activity. Each activity will have a specific point value. When you complete a task, your points will be tallied. You will also see a running total of points and your current ranking. Game is played via SCVNGR app for iphone or android, but is also able to be played with ANY PHONE with SMS text capabilities. The first three parties to return with the maximum allotted number of points will be the top three finishers. We have over $1500 in prizes that have been donated! We have special prize baskets for first, second and third place, including a grand prize of a Two Night Stay at Marina Village (valued at $730)! All other players that finish the trek before 2pm will be entered to win one of our extra prize baskets! (Actually we just added another basket and we will draw TWO names!) That's it! It's fun, it's free, it's family friendly.
